Our story is how Lanigan Insurance Group is unique. In an over-commoditized industry, LIG hears time and time again from our customers how different, more comprehensive & even better our approach is. Instead of us telling our story, we want to allow 6 customers to describe this “uniqueness”:

To me, the ultimate evaluation of an agent or broker is tied to the quality of the loss experience. That starts with the work that is done in coverage design before the loss and carries through to the care & attention provided both during and after the loss. LIG scores high marks in all areas relating to preparation for the loss and competent compassion shown during the loss.

Being a ‘proactive advisor’ sets LIG apart from other insurance providers. Most simply check rates & are not either proactive nor an advisor, but I needed both. Due to the size and complexity of my account (collectibles, 2nd home, etc.), the review before coverage was put in place needed significant analysis & development of several options.

In many situations where I am someone’s customer, I get the impression that service stops after the sale. However, with LIG, I have seen total commitment to providing exceptional service both in times of minor needs, but especially when the situation is more critical. For example, when our insurance company threatened non-renewal of our auto coverage because of 2 teen drivers, LIG sprung into action & found a better alternative at no greater cost to us while also providing the financial protection for my family.

After numerous experiences with bank-affiliated brokers, it was like coming home to work with LIG. This is a operation that is family-run, one where they know every customer by name, and give me the confidence and trust that I need in a broker/insured relationship. I asked John Lanigan, Jr.why the companies they use are so much better (timely, want the claimant satisfied, etc.) than those I’ve been associated with in prior experiences. His response was that ‘the companies we use need to be an extension of our relationship with you.’ He gave me the impression that those companies need to care about me just as much as the staff and owners of LIG do.

Before I became a client of LIG, I was presented with a list depicting an array of value-added services the agency would provide me after I became their client. It was an impressive and desirable group. LIG did deliver these ‘extras’ and this went way above and beyond anything I had received from other agencies previously. I especially appreciated the pre-inspection of my home that was done that detected an underinsured situation.
